Descrizione del lavoro:
Introduction
ASML is the world's leading supplier in advanced photolithography systems. Our machines are critical to the production of microchips, unlocking the potential of people and society by pushing technology to new limits. These chips are at the heart of the technologies that shape everyday life, from smartphones and electric vehicles, to data centers and medical equipment.
Within ASML, the Capital Efficiency (CE) department manages worldwide Business Insights and Control (BI&C) for invested and working capital. We do this with a team of highly professional and motivated people based in Veldhoven, Berlin and Wilton. As a part of the broader finance department in ASML, CE plays a crucial role in supporting informed decision-making by translating complex financial and operational data into clear, coherent insights for management.
As an intern at ASML within the CE department, you contribute right away as a valued team member to real business topics in a dynamic, international environment.
Your assignment
We are looking for four interns within the Capital Efficiency team in Veldhoven who are available for at least 32 hours per week. Each intern will work as a full member of the team. In all four roles, you will have end-to-end responsibility for reporting tasks as well as performing ad-hoc analyses, recurring projects, and providing team support.
Each of the four internships is aligned with a specific expertise team. You will work primarily with your own expertise team, however, you will also be in regular contact with the other teams mentioned.
The four encompassing roles are:
* Role 1: General role with a broad scope on Working Capital, Cashflow and Balance Sheet control. Your main tasks will be to conduct consolidated-like analyses on the beforementioned topics. Further work/analysis is conducted on key company metrics and KPI's (e.g. Return on Average Invested Capital, Cash Conversion Cycle and Cash Conversion Rate). This role works frequently with other teams (Inventory, CAPEX, Sales (BI&C CV), Procurement (BI&C SS&P), Treasury and Tax teams), and combines all the individual drivers into combined and coherent insights for the higher levels of management. Given the broad and consolidated scope of this role, we are looking for a candidate with a solid, well-balanced financial/accounting background, rather than a deep functional specialist. Looking for somebody that is interested in the broader picture, connecting the dots and translating data into a story.
* Role 2: CAPEX Control internship, which primarily involves supporting CAPEX management for various sectors (D&E, Factories, Product & Delivery (P&D), IT etc.). This position mostly encompasses data management, preparations for reviews cycles and consolidated insights to support decision-making. Additionally, you will support and drive continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate closely with engineering stakeholders next to your finance colleagues. An ideal candidate thrives in recurring work, is proficient in data management and turning complex data into clear and insightful summaries, excels in stakeholder management and has an interest in the engineering of our machines.
* Role 3: CRE Control internship role, which encompasses support in CAPEX & OPEX management and the management of continuous improvements through an initiatives roadmap within the team. This role covers many recurring responsibilities which support the decision making of the team through both the preparation of events and tasks as well as the full responsibility for improvement initiatives. Furthermore, you engage with various different financial processes related to CAPEX and OPEX with the goal to consolidate, summarize, and visualize data to create insights to higher levels of management. A headstrong and composed candidate with an interest in managing a diverse range of activities, creating coherent insights, and driving constant improvement is ideal for this role.
* Role 4: Inventory control internship role, which primarily focuses on inventory management and ownership across the end-to-end inventory flow. The role covers recurring responsibilities such as external repair and SRV analyses, combined with end-to-end responsibility for inventory reporting and ad-hoc analyses. In addition, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by supporting an initiatives roadmap within the team, with a strong focus on process automation and AI-driven improvements. You will work closely with stakeholders across business, sector and finance. The role requires strong analytical skills combined with the ability to work effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders.
This is a Master internship with a minimum duration of 6 months with a minimum of 32 hours worked per week. This internship provides the intern with sufficient flexibility to spend time on university (course) work. The internship will start in July 2026.

To be a match for this internship, you:
* Are a Master student, at university level in the field of Business Economics, Finance, or Accounting. However, Bachelor students are also encouraged to apply given a strong and matching background.
* Have an outstanding academic record and have proven affinity with topics that are related to business analytics, data analyses and or business intelligence. While we highly value strong academic (and professional) foundations, we consider motivation, team fit, and the ability to contribute effectively in a dynamic environment equally important in our selection process.
* Are highly proficient in Office365 tools, such as Excel and Powerpoint. Experience with other tools such as SAP/SAC and PowerBI are a plus, but are not required.
