This role is within the EDS segment, and you will be joining that segment as it becomes its own entity, with a rich heritage and proven track record as a global leader in low and high voltage power and signal distribution systems. YOUR ROLE
This internship provides hands-on experience in various aspects of supply chain operations, mentorship from experienced supply chain professionals, exposure to industry best practices and technologies, networking opportunities within the organization and industry, and professional development opportunities for students pursuing careers in supply chain management, logistics, or operations.
In your daily job you will:
* Support SCM Strategy, Process, Systems, Digital Transformation and Business Planning
* Map and document current supply chain processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks
* Collect and analyze process performance data to establish baselines and improvement targets
* Assist in implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize supply chain workflows
* Support the development and tracking of key process indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations
* Collaborate on process/system standardization initiatives to ensure consistency across operations
* Participate in root cause analysis of process/systems deviations and help develop corrective actions
* Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for improved processes
* Support the implementation and adoption of process/system changes through documentation and training
* Assist with change management activities to ensure successful process transitions
* Prepare reports and presentations for management review
* Support managing SharePoint and Teams channels
* Support digital transformation of SCM
YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Process Management, IT or related field
* Availability of minimum 20h per week
* Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret process data and metrics
* Basic understanding of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.)
* Proficiency in process mapping tools and techniques
* Experience with Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI or similar tools for data analysis and visualization
* Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
* Strong problem-solving abilities and process-oriented thinking
* Effective communication skills to explain process changes to stakeholders
Preferred Skills
* Knowledge of process modelling software (Visio etc.)
* Familiarity with project management principles
* Experience with statistical analysis tools
* Understanding of supply chain operations and terminology
