As a Food & Beverage Intern, you will be on the front lines of delivering exceptional culinary experiences. You will rotate through various outlets-such as the signature restaurant, the bar, in-room dining, and banqueting-to learn how a world-class F&B operation functions. Your goal is to ensure every guest enjoys high-quality service, whether they are having a quick breakfast or a formal gala dinner.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Restaurant & Bar Operations
* Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas according to brand standards.
* Provide professional table service, including taking orders, serving food and beverages, and clearing tables.
* Learn the menu in detail (including ingredients and preparation methods) to provide recommendations and handle dietary requirements.
* Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for billing and payment processing.
2. Events & Banqueting
* Support the setup of meeting rooms and event spaces for weddings, conferences, and corporate events.
* Assist in the execution of high-volume service while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
3. Quality & Hygiene Control
* Ensure all work areas are clean and organized, following strict HACCP and food safety regulations.
* Monitor inventory levels of glassware, cutlery, and linens, reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
* Assist in the "back of house" coordination between the kitchen and the service team to ensure smooth timing of dishes.
4. Guest Engagement
* Greet guests warmly and handle special requests to create a personalized dining experience.
* Resolve guest complaints immediately and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
* Promote the IHG One Rewards program and encourage guests to provide feedback
