Summer Intern - Sustainability Expertise

Your job
The UK Sustainability Expertise Team supports the implementation of ABN AMRO's sustainability strategy in the UK market. The team provides sustainability expertise across regulatory, client and transaction-related activities, while ensuring alignment with group-wide sustainability priorities.
The team acts as a local centre of expertise, monitoring sustainable finance-related regulatory developments, managing sustainability-related reputational and regulatory risk, and supporting sustainable and transition finance activities. It works closely with UK Legal, Corporate Banking, product teams, as well as sustainability teams in the Netherlands.
The team also contributes to internal and external communications, education, thought leadership and strategic projects, helping to strengthen ABN AMRO's position as a sustainability-focused financial institution in the UK.
What will your responsibilities look like?
* Conduct research on sustainable finance and transition finance topics, market standards, emerging trends and best practices.
* Support live sustainability-linked and green/social finance transactions through research on KPIs, frameworks and market precedents.
* Support product and client teams by analysing client sustainability strategies and sector needs to help identify opportunities for new or enhanced sustainable and transition finance solutions.
* Develop sustainable finance content for client pitches and internal briefings.
* Support the delivery of ongoing sustainable finance projects, such as internal tools, frameworks, transaction databases and guidance documents.
Assist with planning and coordinating sustainable finance events and working groups.

Hybrid working arrangement with 4 days in office and 1 day working from home (Friday)
