WVISL Internship Opportunities (2026)
World Vision is a global Christian relief, development, and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. World Vision serves all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.
World Vision International Sierra Leone (WVISL) invites applications from suitably qualified Sierra Leoneans for its 2026 Internship Programme.
About the Internship Programme
The WVISL Internship Programme is a structured learning opportunity designed to provide students and recent graduates with practical, hands-on experience aligned with their academic field of study. The programme is not employment and should not be confused with short-term staff contracts.
The internship aims to:
* Bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world professional experience
* Build the capacity of young professionals through skills development and exposure
* Support students in completing academic requirements for graduation
* Equip recent graduates with marketable skills to enhance employability
* Identify potential future talent for World Vision
Available Internship Positions
WVISL is recruiting for the following functional areas:
* IT
* People & Culture (HR)
* Finance
* Supply Chain
* Resource Acquisition/Development Management
* Advocacy
* External Engagement
* Communications

* Strategy & Programs
Eligibility Requirements
* Graduate interns who are in their final year of study or recent graduates (within the last 24 months)
* Relevant field of study aligned to the internship role
* Prior internship, volunteer, or related academic experience is an added advantage
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn
* Ability to work collaboratively with integrity, humility, and respect
* Self starter, proactive, initiative taker and willingness to learn.
* Willingness to work with others, especially humility, respect, and care for others.
* Use of computer, knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007, such as PowerPoint, excel, Word. Able to do data entry, document work, take notes, conduct research when needed on the internet, and develop reports.
* Analytical and critical mind, ability to think through and complete assignments
* Ability to fluently read, write and communicate in English.
* Adherence to timeliness and responsiveness to activities.
* Minimum 18 years of age
* Applications must include introductory letter from College of study confirming qualification and status as student intern or graduate intern.
* All interns will complete a screening process with reference to the requirements.
Internship Duration
Internship periods vary by role and range between May and October 2026, with most placements lasting up to 11 months.
Work Location
Interns will be based at the WVISL National Office, with some roles requiring occasional field travel.
