Siemens Bank GmbH Singapore Branch provides financing solutions, including Project & Structured Financing, Corporate Lending, Equity and Financial Advisory services, to customers of Siemens in the Asia Australia region, with a strong focus on the energy transition and essential infrastructure.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our investment team focused on infrastructure and private equity opportunities across Asia. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in deal sourcing, investment analysis, and portfolio management within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
You'll break new ground by supporting the investment teams in the following areas:
* Market Research & Analysis
* Conduct industry and market research across various sectors which are relevant to Siemens technology (e.g. data centres, enetgy transition, rail) and geographies in Asia.
* Analyze macroeconomic trends and regulatory developments impacting infrastructure and private equity investments.
* Support in potential (ad-hoc) strategic initiatives (e.g. go-to-market assessment) by regional and/or global management
* Investment Evaluation
* Assist in screening and evaluating potential investment opportunities.
* Support financial modeling and valuation analysis (DCF, multiples, review of assumptions, etc.).
* Support preparing investment approval documents and presentation materials for internal discussions.
* Due Diligence Support
* Participate in due diligence processes including reviewing company documents, financials, and operational data.
* Assist coordinating with external advisors (legal, technical, financial) and internal stakeholders (legal, tax, compliance etc) during transaction execution.
* Portfolio Monitoring
* Assist in tracking performance of portfolio companies and updating internal databases.
* Support with reporting activities and performance reviews.
* Team Collaboration
* Work closely with and support investment professionals across the Asia region.
* Participate in and contribute to team meetings.
* Support liaising with internal stakeholders in the region and in HQ in Europe.
Your Defining Qualities:
* Academic Excellence in Finance: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics with a strong academic track record.
* Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to translate complex data sets into clear, visual stories.
* Foundational Finance Knowledge: A solid understanding of corporate finance principles, valuation methodologies, and the mechanics of private equity or structured finance.
* Analytical Problem-Solving: A sharp eye for detail and the ability to work through complex financial problems independently in a fast-paced environment.
* Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written English skills, essential for drafting reports and collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the Asia-Pacific region.
* Proactive Transaction Interest: Prior experience in transaction-based work or a demonstrable passion for infrastructure investments and cross-border deal execution.
* Able to commit from July 2026 to first week of January 2027.
