The internship at TE Singapore R&D Center offers a unique opportunity to join our dynamic Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) team and apply artificial intelligence techniques to solve tangible manufacturing challenges. You will work alongside and be mentored by experienced TE engineers, contributing to high-impact projects that are transforming our digital factories. We welcome students who are passionate about manufacturing process improvements and developing end-to-end AI system solutions.

Job Responsibilities

* Assist in the research, design and development of robust, scalable and forward-looking AI solutions for new software products and automation manufacturing processes at TE.
* Apply cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning models to address practical engineering challenges in areas such as AI process control, machine vision, and other applications.
* Support the entire project lifecycle from problem definition, data collection, model deployment, GUI to hardware integration and performance evaluation.
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, working closely with specialists in manufacturing, automation, mechanical, control, data science, and other relevant fields.

Job Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, data science, electrical and automation engineering related majors.
* Independent development experience of AI solutions for industrial applications.
* Familiarity with software architectural design and UI/UX framework.
* Proficiency in Python or other programming languages.
* Good analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
* A self-motivated, proactive learner and a collaborative team player.

Preferred:

* Knowledge and interest in automation manufacturing process and application.
* Experience with backend development and/or frontend development.
* Experience with industrial hardware like PLC, sensors and vision system will be a plus.
