Your role and responsibilities

Are you passionate about threat hunting and forensic investigations? Are you interested in joining an elite team of incident response consultants? If so, X-Force IR, IBM Security's team of veteran incident responders, is looking for interns for the summer of 2026, and you may be the perfect fit.

Required education
High School Diploma/GED

Preferred education
Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

* Currently pursuing a university degree with a track-record of academic success
* Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong interpersonal skills that enhance collaboration and relationship building, while also managing dynamic workloads in an agile environment
* Have initiative and passion to actively seek new knowledge and improve skills while embracing a growth mindset to assimilate diverse viewpoints

Preferred technical and professional experience

* Proficient Programing Skills
* Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following Security Domains: Incident Response, Digital Forensics, Tabletop Exercises, Threat Hunting, Cloud Platforms
* Experience in some aspect of incident response planning
* Knowledge of forensic analysis, memory analysis, and/or malware analysis

These positions are anticipated to begin in summer 2026. We have positions open in Austin, TX
