Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Portfolio Development intern at IBM Ventures, the venture capital arm of IBM, you will partner directly with entrepreneurs to accelerate the growth of category-defining companies. Your primary responsibility will be post-investment value creation, supporting founders, unlocking IBM's global resources, and driving strategic partnerships that create measurable impact.
You will act as a connector, strategist, and advocate for our portfolio companies, helping them navigate IBM, build traction with enterprise customers, and elevate their brand presence across the ecosystem.
Primary Responsibilities Include
* Founder & Portfolio Support: Build and own the relationships with founders to help them navigate IBM's resources, technology, and teams.
* Partnership Development: Identify and facilitate collaboration opportunities between portfolio companies, IBM business units, and enterprise customers.
* Ecosystem & Event Execution: Plan and support high-impact events, workshops, and ecosystem engagements that elevate IBM Ventures and portfolio companies.
* Marketing & Communications: Support press, content, and visibility efforts-including announcements, storytelling, and digital presence.
* Value-Creation Programs: Develop and manage scalable programs, including mentorship networks, technology benefits, and partner offers.
The official office location for this role is in our One Madison Avenue, New York City Office (OMA).
