The Lazard Global Fixed Income team invests in the global bond and credit markets, taking currency risk when appropriate. The team's investment process is driven by an informed macro view of global interest rates, yield curves, sector spreads and currencies, combined with an opportunistic, but disciplined security selection process. We combine quantitative methods with qualitative fundamental analysis to drive better investment outcomes for our clients.

Please note this program is for candidates with an expected graduation date no earlier than December 2026 and no later than May of 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in the daily management and monitoring of global fixed income portfolios, ensuring compliance with investment guidelines and risk parameters.
* Work closely with Portfolio Managers and Analysts who provide structured feedback and support.
* Conduct research and analysis on various fixed income instruments, including government bonds, corporate bonds, and other debt securities.
* Collaborate with senior Portfolio Managers and Analysts to support the development and implementation of investment strategies and recommendations.
* Utilize programming skills to help improve and automate analytics and investment processes.
* Prepare and present regular reports and presentations on portfolio performance, market updates, and investment recommendations to internal stakeholders.
* Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to fixed income investing.
* Assist the team with additional ad hoc projects and specific client requests as needed.

Successful applicants will need:

* Ability to start an internship June 1, 2026, and end August 7, 2026
* Ability to be in New York City for the duration of the internship
* Consistent academic achievement and previous work experience
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with excellent attention to detail
* Exceptional communication skills, and the ability to distill complex concepts clearly and efficiently
* Passion for fixed income investing and a strong desire to learn and grow within the industry
* Experience with quantitative and fundamental research methods
* High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
* Basic programming and AI skills (Python, SQL, automation tools, model-building exposure)
* Curiosity and initiative to develop original ideas

Compensation: Pro-rated base annual salary of $90,000
