Responsibilities

SG Corporate and Investment Banking Türkiye is one of the foreign banks with the longest history in Türkiye. The bank started its operational activity in 1990 and soon became a leading partner for large corporates, sovereign entities and financial institutions.

SG CIB Türkiye offers tailor-made financial solutions for its clients via its branch in Istanbul with a team of close to 50 professionals and leveraging on its international expertise in Investment Banking, Global Finance and Global Markets. Thanks to its longstanding involvement in the financing of important development and infrastructure projects in the country, SG CIB Türkiye has built strong relations with the largest companies operating in the Turkish market. SG CIB plays a key intermediary role between issuers and investors, corporates, sovereign entities and financial institutions, offering issuers a broad access to markets and offering investors smart solutions and access to investment opportunities.

We are looking for a Coverage Intern. The internship is due to start in June 2026 and should last min. for 9 to 12 months.

Responsibilities

* Support RMs in daily client coverage
* Prepare and update presentations and briefing memos for client meetings
* Update local file depository (including Risk management files) for local regulatory authorities
* Assist in KYC process
* Analysis and reporting support
* Coverage and Risk Management support
* Analysis and reporting support:
* Follow-up of the profitability realized by customer and reliability of the data
* Estimation of future customer profitability over the current semester and year
* Monitoring of consumed capital (Risk Weighted Asset) on the Commercial Banking portfolio and quarterly and annual estimation of this capital
* Follow-up of the overall customer relationship:
* Management of commercial information on customers
* Support for commercial actions and assistance in writing client presentations for top management in connection with the bank's various business lines (Syndication, Markets, DCM, Developed & Structure Export Finance, Trade Finance)
* Management of commercial banking operations:
* Pricing simulations and negotiations considering regulatory banking constraints
* Calculation of the profitability of new operations and capital mobilized
* Follow-up of operations throughout their life
* Monitoring and update of the Risk management support framework

Profile required

Studies & experience:

* 3rd year or 4th year student at a business school or university, preferably with a major in Finance, Economics or a relevant degree
* Previous internship experience in the financial or banking sector
* Financial analysis skills desirable
* Good command of MS Office

Language skills:

* Fluency in Turkish
* Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
