Personal comments
For me it was also a great opportunity of saving money. I started to work in September almost every day after school and the weekends. If somebody wants to finance his/her life there I think it is definetely possible, of course it depends on the effort you put in it.

Course recommendations
There was a wide range of courses to choose. I was studying European Business Management inculding subjects like: Finance, Business Management, International Marketing, Irish culture, German, Business English, and so on. I personally really liked that the teachers were approachable any time. They also implemented different team works which in my oppinion definetely encouraged the students to not to be afraid of sharing their own ideas and oppinions any time.

I wish I had known...
Nothing, this year was the best time in my life because I did not know anything in advance, I had to explore everything myself and I really enjoyed this situation.

Final comments
Ireland is beautiful, the green fields, the huge rocks, the cows and lambs everywhere, the rainbow on the sky. You need to see as much as possible beacuse time goes fast. Galway is a relly nice university city on the west coast, so go and explore it. My favourite place is the Cliffs of Moher, my best view ever in my life, amazing experience, huge rocks right beside the ocean, this is something what everybody needs to see. I was doing rowing on the river of Athlone, the sport facilities always bring together new people, so do not be afraid of joining any of them. Enjoy your time because this is really an adventure you will never forget.

The language of communication was definetely English. We had to use it every day, every single moment and this helped me a lot in expressing myself in a new environment. The international students and the teachers were approachable any time and this gave us a perfect opportunity of discussing anything we might be curious about.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Actually there were no on campus housing facilities, these appartman houses were the accomodation provider of the university. I would choose the same housing again because I really liked the fact that I was living together with a finnish and a french guy in the same appartman. Thanks to this interantional atmosphere now I look back as the best year of my life.

I can surely say that the housing facilities were above any expectations regarding the location and the space we got there. The accomodation was just next to the university half on hour from the city centre.

Athlone is a typical Irish city in the middle of the island. The atmosphere of any places you go is amazing, you can feel the ancient Irish times in many places any time you enter. Personally I love Irish music and culture. I was also impressed by the fact of how proud the Irish are of their country. One thing I can surely recommend is the oldest pub in Ireland, in my host city Athlone, called Sean's pub.
