I have traveled to China and Japan, but before coming, I thought that tickets from Seoul would be cheap and they are not.
The experience is great and Korens are really nice as they help international students is they can.

Contact to someone who may pick up you in the airport, the other solution is to take a taxi (donnot take the black ones).

Learn the language or at least learn the characters. Learn the culture, people will really apreciate your efforts. Buy a T-money card for traveling. Make many Korean friends. Enjoy and be respectful!

Most Koreans do not speak English, most younger people do and in and around campus you can find plenty of these. The Korean language is handy to learn when you head in to town and is especially handy outside the city.
