“Studying at my university was a great opportunity to learn a lot and finally decide on the field in which I want to work and in which I want to grow professionally.”
Viktoria D
Ukraine, Undergraduate
Language, 2022
Overall
I will graduate this University next year but since now I can say exactly it has a strong and hard school, maybe best in Ukraine. It is the oldest university in Ukraine and has rich history and tradition. The staff is highly professional and experienced not only in academic but also in applied fields.
It has relatively compact campus so you easily get between building by feet including student hostels. It is situated in a charming, culturally rich city with cheerful people that is lately become a very popular tourist destination. There are affordable prices, much lower than in Kyiv and many interesting places to visit.
Here you could avoid bilingual hell (russian/ukrainian) and knowing only ukrainian would be sufficient. There are also lectures for foreign students in english.
I’m very proud for getting education there. It charged me with knowledge, confidence and spirit that still drive me in my carrier as an interpreter .

I am graduating this University this year and can say exactly it has a strong economics school, maybe best in Ukraine. It is the oldest economical university in Ukraine and has rich history and tradition. The staff is highly professional and experienced not only in academic but also in applied fields.

Pros
The whole environment of the university and education is super inspiring.
Cons
Some professors do not want to improve their teaching style, some of them will disrespect you and cause you lots of stress. That is the only one con I would note.

“Evaluating my studying process at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv”
Julia Z
Ukraine, Graduate
International Relations, 2021
Overall
My studying at the university has been filled with both positive at negative emotions, where the former includes highly invested, intelligent and hard-working teachers, a great choice of subjects and distinctively energetic students’ live, while the latter presumes a low level of further opportunities for a career and non-fulfillment of the subjects taught. Thus, the university provides with an amount of knowledge that a person cannot use in real life. Still, the alma mater can be considered of the best in Ukraine and I highly appreciate everything that has been done for me.

“Lviv University needs better top-management and serious reviews of teachers work, approach, curriculum.”
Oleksandra D
Ukraine, Graduate
Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, 2017
Overall
In my honest opinion, this University needs a lot of improvements in top-management, teaching staff, curriculum and approach for students.
There are still a lot of corrupt teachers.
I am very disappointed with the education here. There were few great lecturers here.
Despite this information, there are passionate people studying here. It seems that success in university does not correlate with life path. A lot of students with good grades become nomads and a lot of students who used to be not very successful in teachers' evaluations or even at visiting any studying activities become passionate and initiative employees and entrepreneurs.

“This education is a joke”
Yana S
Ukraine, Undergraduate
, 2022
Overall
This education is a joke and I regret taking it. I wish I could study somewhere else. No support from the faculty or the dean. They could not provide student housing even tho I came from a small town 1200 km away and could go home only once a year.
