Standard of living is generally higher here than in Ghana. Besides the tax system here makes a lot of things more expensive than even in other European countries.

It was very difficult getting a job because I did not speak the local language.It was very surprising that even for cleaning jobs I was told wherever i went that I needed to speak danish to be able to get a job.I only had to learn not to spend beyond my means. Shop fron Aldi amd Netto who things are much cheaper.

The only cost-saving tip I can give is to do the shopping in discounters (Aldi, Fakta...) where one can find food for an OK price

Albeit one of the cheaper Scandinavian countries, Denmark is still quite expensive, worse than Holland for example. A beer downtown is hilariously expensive...

Public transport is expensive, so get ready to buy a bicycle. Use your student card to get discounts. Take your time to know supermarkets: 'Netto' and 'Aldi' are the cheapest ones.
