Personal comments
Klubben is the foremost spot of nightlife in relation to school. Outside the school, exchange students are introduced in their orientation week to the Social Club in the city which respectively turns out to be the predominant location with its inexpensive offers, free student entry and its student population for most of the nights.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
This type of housing provides the most libertarian way of living with almost no rules by an authority.

Personal comments
Housing is precisely determined by the host university. It is hard to reason the allocation process since there are different type of locations and appartment types some of which are advantageous.

Personal comments
Costs are real. Saving is an illusion in Denmark. One has to realise that he/she is spending an exchange period which means focusing less on saving but on spending and hanging around more than one does at home.

Academic
Course recommendations
For undergraduate studies, it is more of a difficult task to choose courses since undergraduate education has a stricter formation both at home and host universities. Some desired courses need prerequisites and they are therefore unavailable to exchange students.

Calendars are determined in advance but they are subject to change. The way exchange students are examined are different than the already students of the university in terms of the form and date of examination. These issues are have to be clarified earlier in the semester.

In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
A really peaceful city hosts this university and its students which predominates and vitalizes the local life. However, the city is still far away from being a big city / capital or a metropolitan centre. For those of you who are oming from bigger cities will experience this forementioned difference both reflected on the social life and the life in relation to the academy.

Final comments
Aarhus is a port city an the second largest city in Denmark which is truly located in the midst of the Jutland peninsula. However, it is not easy and inexpensive to travel to this city. You have to take a flight to Copenhagen and take another flight or take a train to Aarhus. This is costly as well Since Copenhagen itself and Aarhus is not a popular flight destination for lowcost carriers. These facts have to be acknowledged before planning your trip to the host city.

Personal comments
I was told that Danes could speak English at a very high rate on the nationwide. What was told to me turned to be right after coming to the city. However, it is important whether they choose or not to speak English while non-speakers of Danish language are around. They could be slightly more polite in that sense.
