On the Campus I lived mainly with overseas students so the communication was based just on English. Unfortunatly, there were a hand full German students. It led to conversations in German. Not the best way to learn English :-( By-and-by the groups gain more diversity than just consisting of members from the same country. It was certainly favourable in terms of improving mutual our language skills. During the lactures overseas student obtain the possibility to integrate in the university life by intoducing themself. It facilitated the further communication with home students. They were very curious concerning our home countries and experiences.

The only way to learn a language properly is to live, work or study in that country.
