was kind of a student village (400 students in 70 houses). heating and electricity was included in price. all houses were mixed with irish and foreign students, so it was a good opportunity to come in touch with other people and cultures.

Why?
For the most obvious reason, exposure. Many of my friends were met because we lived and saw each other all the time, which wouldn't of been possible if I was rooming in some remote apartment away from campus. Plus the school and surrounding residential area is spread out and if I didn't live on campus, getting to classes of social events would have been very difficult.

Compared to the dorms I lived in while attending my home university, those at the University of Limerick were well furnished. There was a full kitchen and two bathrooms in each suite or quad.

Thougth there were several posibilities of acomodation, the studentt village I lived in was the best option. It was inside the campus, five minutes far from the university buildings and beside the sports fields. In the village there were ell the services we could need (laundry, market,...) and the houses were equiped with six rooms, one kitchen, a rest room and two bathrooms for every six students. It was really comfortable.

The fact to live in a "real" house, in a student village on the campus is great. Moreover, the campus is not too faraway from the city centre. There is a very good atmosphere. The only thing could be that sometimes it is hard to live with many people in a house (everybody is different), but it is the opportunity to communicate with each other and learn to be tolerant!!!

I enjoyed it very much, cos all the students from different nationalities lived very close to each other, next to the campus, in a very nice area, not in the city, but not so far.

Althoug there are things I didn't like, as cleanliness or the old and sometimes broken furniture, it was the better choice I made there. I lived with 6 nice Irish people and my English improved a lot. It was a student village, so you could meet and mix with people from any place in the world.

I prefer to live on-campus because the major part of your student life takes place near or on the campus.

Very nice and small student villages with houses for 6 to 8 people situated near the shannon river and the sport facilities. Perfect.
