I found that people looked at me funny whenever I spoke due to my American accent. Some English accents are harder to understand; many of the students whom English was a second language for informed me that my American accent was easier to understand versus the local accent. There was much variation in slang as well.

Luton University is recognice as a very international Uni, people comes from everywhere to study there. It is said that is more known internationally than among english students. Apart of that, I took a subject to preparate the CAE,and at the end of the term I did the exam.

Local people sometimes were quite rude and did not have any pacience in understanding you. people at the university they were so cool, they help you all the time and make an efford to understand you

i make firends with other students and also i have some part time work that is a good chance for me to communicate with local people,and also shopping and travelling can improve my language

I've had the opportunity of improving my skills in that language. This hadn´t been the same in my own country because no-one speaks that language for the day by day.

At the begining is a little bit difficult understand at english people or overall irish people but at the end you can understand without any problem
