It is very easy to arrange for on-campus accomodation through the university; however, sharing kitchen and toilet with 1 other residents is not a pleasant experience. Be warned that local students like to get themselves drunk and vomit everywhere.

Very unclean, very noisy, a lot of pranksters stealing things from our kitchen and come in and disturb you in the middle of the night if you forget to lock your door before you go to bed.

Try to buy a semersterly bus ticket. Don't wonder about to much rain and fog in Manchester. It's also very industrial and a bit criminal. But in general, get there as soon as you can.

Night Clubs: Area located near Piccadilly Square (Copacabana, etc). The area near the canal is also excellent. I'm sure that whatever your preferences you'll find a place that suits you.
Events: Try to go to a concert of a famous artist. Also try to go to a ManUtd football match.
