Job Description

You will join our Accounting team within the Global Banking Operations - COO CIB department, which is looking for an Accounting Controller and Finance Project Officer for a 2-year apprenticeship program starting in September 2026.
In collaboration with your tutor, your main responsibilities will include:
Information Systems & Project Management:
* Identify and report accounting anomalies related to Global Banking Operations application malfunctions.
* Ensure the production monitoring of new functionalities in Global Banking Operations applications.
* Participate in enhancement testing related to Global Banking Operations applications.
* Automate tasks to improve efficiency and productivity.
Control:
* Continuously monitor products related to Global Banking Operations applications: Ensure ongoing controls ("au fil de l'eau").
* Monitor secondary market sales.
* Manage the reconciliation of the suspense account for upfront commissions to be paid (Fees Held Awaiting Dispos).
* Manage the clearing of accounting suspense items and follow up on them with business managers.
* Ensure the application of International Financial Reporting Standards 9.
* Optimize existing processes and procedures by drafting documents and using macros.
* Participate in process reviews for controls to be harmonized with international platforms.
* Report malfunctions and anomalies identified during controls.
Accounting:
* Process and track all rejections (Event Reports / Inventory Reports) related to management tools in the SI interpreter.
* Control and calculate the Effective Interest Rate on staggered commissions (Financial Valuation Methodology).
* Calculate Fair Values on files booked since IFRS9 (International Accounting & Corporate Finance).
* Extract and analyze Income and Expense accounts.
* Act as a liaison and coordinate actions from a Finance perspective with other departments such as Risk Management and Operations.
* Respond to various requests from internal clients (Back Office, Middle Office, Synthesis Function, etc.).
* Participate in quarterly reporting activities.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

Student at BAC+4 level, you are pursuing a degree (university, business school, or engineering school) with a specialization in Finance, Control, Audit, or Accounting. You are proficient in office tools (Microsoft Suite). You have skills in data analysis and the use of software like Excel and other automation tools. You have knowledge of corporate and structured financing. Excellent analytical skills, rigor, and very good interpersonal skills are required. Previous experience in finance or within a firm (audit or consulting) is an advantage. And last but not least, you are perfectly fluent in English.
