Job Description:

This position is responsible for the inspection, repair, maintenance, and diagnostic tests of the UPS vehicle fleet. Also, the role is responsible for a broad range of maintenance activities that are performed to keep UPS package handling facilities operating efficiently and effectively.

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Workdays: Monday to Friday (must be able to work ALL 5 days of the week)

Shift Hours: 6:30 PM to 3:00 AM (must be able to work a minimum of 40 hrs. per week)

Shift Duration: 8 hours a day (requires flexibility with Start and Finish time)

Work Location: 100 SIMMONDS DRIVE DARTMOUTH, NS B3B 1N9

Hourly Wage: It's according to apprenticeship level: $23.93 per hour to start.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Repair, inspect and maintain UPS Diesel and Gasoline vehicles in a regular and timely manner.
* Operate/test company vehicles within the UPS facilities and on public roads.

Requirements
* Clean Driver's Abstract confirming:
a) No violations/accidents for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months).
b) No traffic violations/accidents within the last 12 months and maximum 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months).
* Must successfully complete a Pre-Employment Road Test.
* Ability to lift-up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted. Typical package weight ranges from 25-35 lbs.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills.

Expenses/Working Conditions
