At the intersection of science, strategy, and commercial impact, this role places you at the heart of some of the most consequential decisions in healthcare drug development and commercialization. As an Associate Director within the Global Strategic Insights function, you will serve as a trusted thought partner to therapy area commercial teams - translating complex market dynamics into clear, actionable intelligence that shapes how healthcare assets are launched, grown, and managed across major global markets.
This role will interact primarily with the Rare Tumor and Specialty Therapy Area teams, partnering closely with colleagues who are driving some of the most strategically significant assets in the portfolio.
You will own the end-to-end delivery of insights across one or more GSI disciplines (primary market research, competitive intelligence, or strategic forecasting), ensuring every recommendation is grounded in rigorous analysis and directly informs critical business decisions.
Working with cross-functional partners across commercial strategy, market access and pricing, other GSI functions, and regional insights teams, you will drive insights that elevate decision quality at critical stages of the asset lifecycle.
Who You Are :
* A degree in life sciences, business, economics, or a related field - or equivalent professional experience - is required.
* 5 or more years of experience in at least one global strategic insights discipline - primary market research, competitive intelligence, data analytics, or strategic forecasting - ideally within the pharmaceutical or biopharma industry.
* You have designed and led insights and KPI workstreams for in-market or launch assets, with at least 2 years of direct experience across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases.
* You hold deep expertise in one or more of the following: qualitative and quantitative primary market research (study design, discussion guide development, strategic recommendations); global competitive intelligence (trial monitoring, congress coverage, strategic simulation); or topline forecasting (model building, opportunity assessment, scenario analysis).
* You have global experience across two or more major markets - such as the US, China, EU4 and UK, or Japan - and bring a nuanced understanding of how market dynamics differ across regions.
* You work effectively across functions, with a solid understanding of how commercial strategy, market access and pricing, and regional insights teams each contribute to asset success.
* You are comfortable navigating the full medicine lifecycle - from proof-of-concept through in-market management - and understand how insights activities evolve at each stage.
* You communicate complex findings with clarity and confidence, translating analytical outputs into compelling narratives that resonate with senior stakeholders and drive informed decisions.
* English fluent, additional languages are a plus
