Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer - Supplier
Location: Barrow-In-Furness or Sheffield - Hybrid, (Occasional travel to alternative site as and when required)

Salary: £48,663 (minimum)

Job Description:
You'll play an important role in supporting supplier quality assurance activities across a diverse portfolio of advanced weapon systems programmes. Working closely with suppliers, project teams and quality professionals, you'll help ensure products and processes meet industry standards, contractual requirements and programme milestones through effective assurance, audit and inspection activities.
You'll contribute to supplier audits, non-conformance reviews and quality investigations, using quality systems and reporting tools to support continuous improvement across the supply chain. This role offers exposure to multi-layered engineering programmes, opportunities to develop supplier assurance knowledge and the chance to grow within a collaborative and quality-focused environment supporting critical defence capability.
Core duties:
* Reviewing and maintaining supplier quality documentation, including FAIRs, Quality Plans and Inspection Test Plans
* Supporting non-conformance activities, helping investigate issues and implement effective corrective actions with suppliers
* Maintaining Material Review Boards, overseeing records, permits and stakeholder communication across quality activities
* Monitoring and updating quality data within business systems, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance documentation
* Building supplier and customer relationships, supporting audits, meetings and continuous improvement across the supply chain
Essential Skills:
* Qualified to HNC, HND or Degree level, or equivalent experience within quality or engineering environments
* Experience working within a quality-focused role, supporting compliance, assurance and continuous improvement activities
* Demonstratable supplier audit experience, supporting supplier performance and adherence to quality requirements and standards
* Considerable understanding of ISO 9001 standards and applying quality supervision processes within operational environments
* Experience using ERP systems such as SAP to coordinate quality documentation, reporting and business records
