Be the connection between KPMG and the next generation of talent.
KPMG New Zealand is part of the international KPMG network and one of the world's leading professional services organisations. We provide audit, tax and advisory services to individuals, SMEs, multi-nationals and government agencies. Locally, we're known for our values-driven culture and strong staff engagement, anchored in our purpose of fuelling New Zealand's prosperity.
To deliver on this purpose, we must attract, develop and retain exceptional people - starting with those at the very beginning of their careers.
The opportunity:
We're looking for an experienced Early Careers Manager to join our People & Inclusion team, based in Auckland. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead, this role is responsible for managing KPMG's early career recruitment programmes for graduates, interns and junior hires across the firm.
This is a highly visible, outward-facing role. You'll be representing KPMG on campus, at careers expos and industry events, building strong relationships with students, universities and internal stakeholders. Travel across New Zealand will form part of this role as you support early career activity nationwide.
What you'll be doing:
You'll bring structure, energy and creativity to how we connect with emerging talent. Day-to-day, you'll:
* Own the end-to-end delivery of KPMG's early career recruitment activity, from attraction and selection and providing best practice advice to hiring teams.
* Plan and deliver early career initiatives and events, including university open days, careers expos, office tours and networking sessions.
* Partner closely with a range of stakeholders to deliver impactful and engaging onboarding and induction experiences for our early career hires.
* Contribute to the evolution of our early career approach by using market insights, data and trends to support planning, budgeting, tertiary engagement and student club sponsorships.
* Partner with our Brand colleagues to deliver early careers employer branding activity, content and campaigns.
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with universities, student groups and external industry contacts.
* Act as a visible ambassador for the KPMG brand, ensuring a positive, inclusive and consistent candidate experience across all touchpoints.
* Identify opportunities to improve systems, recruitment processes and ways of working
What you'll bring to our team:
You'll be comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on delivery and enjoy being out in the market as much as working behind the scenes. You'll also bring:
* Previous experience delivering Early Career recruitment programmes.
* Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at pace and maintaining attention to detail.
* Confidence engaging and presenting in group environments such as careers expos and other early career events.
* The ability to build trusted relationships across a diverse stakeholder group.
* A strong focus on candidate experience, inclusion and continuous improvement.
* Comfort working with recruitment systems and using data to inform decisions.
* Flexibility to travel and attend events after hours as required to support early career activity across New Zealand.
$107,500 - $145,000 a year
Indicative Salary band is inclusive of employer KiwiSaver contribution per annum.
Final offer to the successful individual will be determined based on experience, capability, and internal relativities.
Recruitment Agencies: The recruitment for this role is being managed directly by the KPMG Talent Acquisition team. We will contact our preferred agency partners if we require agency assistance. Thank you for your understanding.
