The Chief Economist Office is a research-focussed team that that studies the impact of major economic and societal trends on businesses, policymakers and society. Working closely with PwC's business units and external stakeholders, we strengthen PwC's thought leadership by producing high-quality reports, articles and insights on topics that are high on our clients' and society's agenda. Our research contributes to public debate, supports evidence-based decision-making and helps organisations navigate a rapidly changing world.
What's the work like?
As a member of the Chief Economist Office, you will, you will apply your analytical skills to explore complex economic, business and societal challenges. Through rigorous research and data-driven analysis, you will help generate insights on the issues that matter most to our clients, stakeholders and society. You will work closely with economists, industry specialists and colleagues across PwC, contributing to thought leadership through reports, articles and client-facing insights. The role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of topics, from productivity and innovation to sustainability, technology and the future of the Dutch economy.
Who are you?
As a Junior Research Analyst, you are eager to learn, grow and make a meaningful impact. You are curious, open-minded and analytically strong, with a keen interest in turning data into valuable economic insights. You enjoy working with a variety of datasets and are comfortable applying advanced research methods and analytical tools to address complex economic and societal issues.
We are looking for someone who combines strong quantitative skills with excellent communication abilities. You can clearly translate research findings into compelling reports, presentations and visualisations, and you are confident presenting your insights to colleagues and stakeholders. You are a collaborative team player who is motivated to develop both your own potential and that of those around you.
The ideal candidate for this position:
* You have (just) completed a master's degree (MSc) in Econometrics or Economics with good results;
* You can think in terms of solutions, solve problems methodologically and process information swiftly;
* You are driven by an intrinsic motivation to stay informed about what is happening in the world and the Dutch economy, and you can make clear how topical developments are connected with sectors and/or organisations;
* You are an advanced user of Microsoft Office applications and experienced with software such as Python and/or R, and (gen)AI tools;
* You can communicate well in writing and orally;
* You are curious, creative, analytical and open-minded;
* You are willing to work on multiple topics, and eager to learn more about them;
* You are an ambitious team player who enjoys producing outcomes of high quality;
* You have a very good command of English (written and spoken), as this is used daily in the team. Knowledge of the Dutch language is a must.
