This role requires a high level of professionalism, scientific credibility, and dedication to support our medical and business objectives.

Responsibilities
* Scientific exchange: Build and maintain peer-level relationships with key external experts, spending approximately 80% of working time in the field to support understanding of the Austrian market and clinical landscape, and to engage with the medical and scientific community in a highly credible, balanced, and objective manner.
* Insight generation: Identify local medical practices, trends, and knowledge or evidence gaps, and share relevant insights with internal stakeholders.
* Medical planning: Work closely with the Medical Affairs Manager to plan and implement medical and clinical activities.
* Study support: Provide scientific support to investigators and study sites participating in AstraZeneca clinical studies or non-interventional studies (NIS).
* Medical events: Plan and conduct advisory boards, round tables, and regional medical education events in both virtual and face-to-face formats.
* Presentations and training: Prepare and deliver scientific presentations at external events, as well as medical training for new employees and ongoing internal education.
* Continuous learning: Maintain and regularly update your scientific and practical knowledge through participation in conferences and training events.
* Medical information: Respond to medical inquiries in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.
* Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate closely with Regulatory, Market Access, Diagnostics, Marketing, and other internal functions.

Your Profile
* Completed degree in Medicine, Natural Sciences, or Pharmacy; a PhD is an advantage.
* Research experience is required; prior experience in Medical Affairs is an advantage but not essential.
* Experience or research in the cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic (CVRM) area, particularly in hypertension, chronic kidney disease (CKD), and diabetes, is an advantage.
* Ability to interpret and communicate scientific data effectively to different target groups.
* Excellent presentation skills in both virtual and face-to-face settings.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Excellent coordination skills, a high degree of independence, and a structured approach to work.
* Openness, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn.
* Fluency in English and German is required.
* Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

We Offer
* Compensation: Base salary of EUR67,000 gross/year on a full-time basis, with the possibility of overpayment depending on qualifications and experience.
* Bonus opportunities linked to company performance
* Comprehensive benefits, including a company pension scheme and supplementary insurance
