SIMTech is looking for a motivated, innovative quick learner with excellent interpersonal skills to join the Remanufacturing Process Technology Group (RPT) - Intelligent Remanufacturing Process Team. The successful candidate will have opportunities to participate in research and industry projects related to leveraging AI tools for knowldege extraction and structuring for downstream manufacturing processes planning.

The following areas will be included and mentored by senior staff:

* To develop tools to extract critical engineering communication infomation and structure them, leveraging on AI tools.
* To coordinate and structure development of AI solutions for discrete component manufacturing.
* To understand and assign manufacturing processes based on features detected on a component via various agents.
* To provide AI support for manufacturing process quality including DED, Machining and Joining.
* To guide and mentor junior engineers and interns in the area of AI tool development in manufacturing.
* To bridge and improve digital workflows in engineering design with the aid of AI algorithms.

JOB REQUIREMENT

* PhD in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
* Understands how to leverage AI tools to detect and extract critical infomation from 2D drawings for downstream automation.
* Understands the elements that constitute 3D CAD (.STEP, .STL, SLDPRT, etc.) files.
* Has deep knowledge and understanding of AI libararies and tools for feature recognition and information extraction.
* Is adapt with AI frameworks and agentic platform development.
* Understands how to effectively develop models with minimal data requirements.
* Is able to intergrate manufacturing knowledge to automate manufacturing processes with context.
* Ability to work effectively and independently in a dynamic environment with cross-functional project teams.
* Able to critically think of solutions outside the box and communicate effectively
