About the role
This is more than a first job in contract management - it is the entry point to a long-term career path within our Cybersecurity (CYS) organization. As a Junior Contract Manager, you will support accountable carve-outs and master the contractual challenges that arise at every stage of complex cybersecurity engagements, working side by side with Legal Counsel, Project Management, Procurement, and our cybersecurity experts.
We are deliberately hiring at a junior level with the intention of developing this role internally toward a specialist contract management position over the coming years. You will be paired with experienced mentors, exposed to high-stakes negotiations from day one, and given a clear development plan with concrete milestones to grow into an advanced or expert contributor.
What part will you play?
* Contract analysis & advice - Review business opportunities, contracts, and contract-related documents for cybersecurity services, software, and hardware. Provide proactive, well-reasoned input to internal stakeholders.
* Negotiation support - Participate in contract negotiations with customers, sub-suppliers, and partners. Contribute to negotiation strategy and learn drafting and closing techniques across successive contract rounds.
* Carve-out execution - Support the migration and transition of existing cybersecurity contracts in the context of carve-out projects, ensuring continuity of service and contractual integrity.
* Cybersecurity compliance - Check that contracts incorporate the appropriate cybersecurity provisions and that execution complies with internal guidelines, processes, and applicable external regulations.
* Risk & claim management - Help identify contractual and cybersecurity-related risks, propose mitigation strategies, and contribute to the development and ongoing review of the claim strategy with project management.
* Stakeholder coordination - Work closely with Legal, Finance, Compliance, Procurement, and the cybersecurity teams. Facilitate clear communication and timely resolution of contract issues.
* Insights & standardization - Bring together data from multiple internal sources, prepare presentations and analyses, and contribute to the standardization of contracts and the continuous improvement of our contract management processes.
What do you need to qualify?
Must-have
* Bachelor's degree Engineering, IT, or a related technical discipline. Business Administration is also likely for the role.
* 1-3 years of experience in Contract Management, Sales, Project Handling, or a Legal function within an industrial, IT, or cybersecurity business - internships and working-student experience count.
* Genuine interest in IT and/or cybersecurity contracts and the willingness to build deep expertise in this domain.
* Strong analytical thinking: ability to identify and define problems, extract key information from data, and develop workable solutions.
* Solid communication and stakeholder skills - comfortable engaging with legal, technical, and commercial counterparts.
* Very good command of English (working language). Spanish at a professional level.
Nice to have
* German language skills.
* Exposure to PM@Siemens or another structured project management framework.
* A cybersecurity certification (e.g., ISC2 CC, CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001 Foundation) or genuine motivation to obtain one.
* Familiarity with commercial and contract management training (e.g., IACCM/World Commerce & Contracting fundamentals).
* Experience working in carve-out, M&A, or large transformation environments.
Your growth path with us
This role is designed as a multi-year development journey. From day one you will have a structured plan to progress across the core competencies of our function:
* Stakeholder Management - from supporting senior contract managers to independently leading stakeholder relationships across cybersecurity projects.
* Negotiation & Closing - from observing and contributing to standard Win/Win negotiations to drafting and leading complex multi-round closings.
* Analytical & Strategic Thinking - from structured problem-solving to articulating goals, analyzing risks objectively, and shaping contractual strategy.
* Project Management - from contributing within PM@Siemens frameworks to managing contract workstreams in large cybersecurity engagements.
* Driving for Results - growing into a role where you anticipate, set vision, and implement replicable patterns of execution at expert level.
You will be supported by a dedicated mentor, regular development conversations, and access to Siemens' learning ecosystem - including the My Skills Library and the Siemens Competence Model - so your progression toward advanced and expert competence levels is visible, measurable, and rewarded.
What we offer
* A clear runway. This is a development-from-within role with a defined path toward a expert contract management position within following years.
* Meaningful exposure. Carve-outs, cybersecurity, multi-jurisdictional contracts - the kind of work most juniors only encounter years into their career.
* Mentorship and learning. Personalized development plan, learning budget, and access to Siemens' global learning platforms for both personal and professional growth.
* A global environment. Collaborate with colleagues across Europe and beyond, in an organization that genuinely values diversity of thought.
* Speak-up culture. A respectable workplace where your ideas - and your questions - are welcome from day one.
* Attractive package. Competitive remuneration, recognition tools including spot awards, generous parental and personal leave, and flexible working models (hybrid / remote where the role allows).
