What you're going to do
Software engineering is being reimagined around AI agents that do the work under human direction. Become part of this journey and help build the platform that supports this new AI native approach. In this role you first help build our future AI-Native Software Factory and later run the parts that keep it trustworthy. You manage the context that steers the agents and the control plane that governs them. It is a chance to shape how Adnovum will build software in the future.
The role is deliberately a DevOps + SRE role with a strong SDLC perspective: you operate the platform reliably and understand how software is specified, built, verified and shipped through it, so the factory's guardrails reflect real engineering practice rather than infrastructure alone.
We're looking for an experienced Platform/DevOps/SRE engineer with project leadership experience that is able to build hands-on and also take ownership of a cross-cutting ops mandate as the factory matures.
Unit: Solutions & Marketing
Team: AI-powered Software Delivery Solutions
1. Mission
Make the factory safe-by-default, reliable and economical to run, keep the context that steers the agents current, consistent and trustworthy - so humans stay in charge.
In practice you are part of a team that builds the factory up and become the owner of the running Factory after rollout and control agent orchestration, observability, security posture, as well as per-project cost and policy enforcement.
2. What you'll do
Support in building the factory's day-one stack and its three trust-separated planes (Control, Verification, Generation), then run and evolve them:
* Platform & runtime - provision the sandbox/runtime (container platform) and CI/CD pipelines with deterministic quality gates as required checks; uphold reliability (SLOs, progressive delivery, auto-rollback, incident response) and reproducible infrastructure-as-code.
* Quality - wire up and keep correct the gate suite: SonarQube quality gates, test frameworks, architecture-conformance, security and contract/schema checks.
* Context layer - establish, version and curate coding conventions, architecture rules, contract definitions, skills, templates and decision logs. Keep the baseline "how we build projects here" up-to-date and onboard new projects from the shared catalogue plus per-project overrides.
* Control plane - operate agent & orchestration management, run observability and take decisions on policy enforcements to maintain the security posture.
* Service mgmt and FinOps - manage the Factory configuration like LLM model access and track and automate cost reporting (FinOps).
* Multi-project & improvement - operate per-project isolation and drive continuous improvement from telemetry and the DORA / AI-impact metrics.
What we're looking for
Area
Requirement
DevOps
Strong CI/CD pipeline engineering; Git-based workflows; Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform); containers and orchestration (Kubernetes / OpenShift).
SRE
SLOs/SLIs, observability (metrics/logs/traces), reliability and capacity practices; progressive delivery and rollback.
SDLC
End-to-end view of the software lifecycle; spec-driven / spec-anchored development; quality engineering and verifications.
Quality engineering
Hands-on with static analysis & quality gates (SonarQube-class), test automation (unit/integration/E2E), coverage + mutation testing, and what "done / shippable" must mean deterministically.
Security
Least-privilege identity (OIDC), secrets management, supply-chain/SBOM and license scanning, network egress control; principle of least privilege measures.
Policy & governance
Comfort with policy-as-code (e.g. OPA) and enforcing guardrails as code rather than process.
Observability & cost
Building dashboards and alerts; FinOps/cost attribution; familiarity with DORA metrics.
Collaboration
Works across engineering, governance and architecture: pragmatic, evidence-driven.
Strongly preferred
* Practical experience with AI-assisted / agentic development (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, MCP) and an understanding of its risks (prompt injection, confused-deputy, non-determinism).
* Multi-tenant / platform-engineering experience (isolation, per-tenant cost and policy).
* Experience curating shared engineering standards, templates or internal developer platforms.
* Exposure to regulated/enterprise contexts (data residency, auditability, accountability).
Mindset
* Humans stay accountable.
* Trust comes from verification not from the tool.
* Start thin and earn complexity.
* Measure rather than assert.
