Join our Team and advance your career as a Procurement Manager in Budapest/Szeged, Hungary.
The Procurement Manager leads the strategic sourcing and procurement operation teams who perform sourcing & contracting activities, contract enablement, purchasing/order management and overseeing other operation teams. In this role you will ensure business requirements and demands are attended promptly, applying the commercial mindset to deliver the best value to the business. In addition, you will ensure that business purchasing requests are processed accurately and promptly in compliance to the relevant policies & procedures, and aligned to category strategy and approved buying channels.
The Procurement Manager collaborates closely with business stakeholders worldwide to understand demand, challenge assumptions when necessary, and drive significant improvements in third-party spend by implementing innovative solutions and change management initiatives that align with the category strategy.
In this role you will cultivate partnerships with data analytics and process excellence teams and collaborate to enhance user buying experience and drive efficient process. You will also drive continuous improvement mindset in the team to continuous delivering results and display emotional understanding and fostering resilience.
Key Accountabilities:
Operation Delivery:
* Oversee sourcing & contracting and procurement operations.
* Provide energizing and engaging leadership for their team or virtual team and clear direction.
* Deliver modernization & transformation activities, leading optimization of process aligned to the broader procurement and category strategic transformation agenda.
* Provide end to end proactive monitoring and management of demand pipeline to ensure workload prioritisation drives better user experience and on time transaction processing to suppliers.
* Procurement delivery: Provide advice to the business & PU procurement team on day-to-day operations. Provide oversight or interventions on operational issues.
* Unlock value and support procurement performance in line with procurement policy and category execution.
Team Integration:
* Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement through their team or virtual team, and the business.
* Develop the team's technical capabilities and nurtures accelerator skills; curiosity in external markets, innovation and technological disruption, digital fluency, data-driven insights, and strong collaboration with stakeholders.
* Establish an environment of psychological safety as a foundation for collaborative learning, ideation and innovation.
Transformation and Change Management:
* Support implementation of transformation initiatives, which deliver incremental business value.
* Leverage digital solutions to drive innovation, enhancing efficiency, effectiveness and value creation.

* Constantly scan for improvement opportunities and implement transformative solution that solve the problems.
Essential Experience & Job Requirements:
* Degree educated (Finance or Procurement fields would be preferred) or equivalent relevant professional experience. Post graduate qualification related to procurement would be highly beneficial.
* Functional knowledge & significant relevant procurement & managerial experience. Must have access to and be knowledgeable on business context, strategic direction, priorities, stakeholders, and key strategies.
* Knowledge of procurement process and general accounting practices, as well as ERP and S2P suite.
* An understanding of how to ensure strategies flow through procurement process in ERP/S2P suite.
* Experience in guiding procurement operation teams in critical thinking to uncover insights, bring value, and drive innovation.
* Drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
* Ability to partner with the business to develop innovative solutions, clearing blockers and enabling delivery.
* Leadership experience, ideally in a procurement operation organization.
* Strong relationship building, problem solving and influencing skills.
