Long Description

Role Summary
To perform maintenance, service, and repair work on large and small tool & dies regarding engineering changes and improvements,

Key Responsibilities
* General drilling and tapping, milling, turning, and grinding - cylindrical & surface - in the tool room.
* Service work on all dies in the Press Shop.
* Repair in the press during failure.
* Ensure quality of press parts by optimized die maintenance.
* Responsible for spare parts stock
* Servicing of dies with stamping nuts and supportive equipment.
* PM (Preventive Maintenance on Tooling)
* Re-construction of dies: turning, milling, drilling, and grinding
* Spotting of dies
* MIG, TIG, Stick welding

Education & Experience
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent; required
* Toolmaker Apprenticeship/Journeyman preferred
* Associate degree in machining preferred

Key Qualifications/Requirements
* Minimum of Five (5) years automotive tool & die experience preferred
* Class A automotive experience preferred
* Knowledge in pneumatics
* Experience with nut setting equipment
* Standard parts
* MIG, TIG, Stick welding, hard brazing
* Basic CAD drawing knowledge
* Metric System
* Basic knowledge of press operation
