Your impact

Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to join our Transportation team in the Northeast, working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients' challenges locally and worldwide.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and be involved in a variety of engineering tasks for our DOT clients; aimed at improving traffic flow, safety, and infrastructure.

In this position you will work with a multidisciplinary team taking on a variety of tasks that blend your theoretical knowledge with practical application. Under the guidance of professional engineers, architects and other senior technical staff you will work on a variety of transportation and traffic engineering projects related to traffic operations, safety analysis, corridor studies, traffic simulation modeling, signal timing & operations, and traffic design (signals, signs, pavement markings, illumination, ITS, etc.). Work will be performed utilizing Big Data, with traffic engineering software including SYNCHRO, Highway Capacity Software (HCS) as well as AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Here's what you'll need

* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related degree
* Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D)

Ideally, you'll also have

* Engineer in Training (EIT) or on track to obtain
* Previous experience design or transportation-related coursework
* Previous design intern experience
* Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

The base salary range for this position is $62,500.00 to $90,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
