* This role leads the Regulatory Compliance team within the Safety organization. This team focuses on managing our end-to-end compliance investigation process and delivering innovative, system-wide solutions that enhance our compliance culture by collaborating and partnering with our internal operational customers and external regulatory agencies. This role plays a critical part in driving cross-departmental efforts across a variety of functional areas in support of Safety objectives.
What you'll do

* Establishes and maintains relationships with the Federal Aviation "Administration (FAA) and the Certificate Management Office (CMO)."Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws and regulations of FAA, DOT, and OSHA, including company policies and procedures.
* Coordinates all company cross-departmental FAA information requests.
* Oversees and manages the airline's Operations Specifications and FAA portal.
* Liaison to Flight Standards, System Operations, Dispatch, Operations Engineering and Technical Operations
* Takes a significant role in the development of compliance specialist to support their engagement, growth, goal achievement) to include participation in safety risk mitigation, change management, and root cause analysis.
* Lead a team of regulatory compliance specialists that manage the end-to-end investigation process for regulatory correspondences, Compliance Actions (CA) Hazard Letters (HL) and Voluntary Self Disclosures (VSDs) to identify contributing factors and drive innovative, system-wide solutions.
* Maintains oversight of compliance investigations and official responses to regulatory agencies to ensure company standards are maintained.
* Delivers high-impact presentations to senior leadership on compliance investigative efforts, contributing factors, and system-wide corrective actions.
* 24/7 availability to help support the operation.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
* High School Diploma or General Education (GED) Diploma
* Five (5) years of operations or Regulatory experience within Aviation
* Previous Leadership experience within Aviation.
* Working knowledge of programs such as FAA/Regulatory Compliance, Operations Specifications, Certificate Actions, Domestic & International Flight Operations, ETOPS (Extended Operations), etc.
* Ability to optimize time management skills required to manage multiple responsibilities at one time.
* Knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software tools
* Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy.
* Familiar with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) including, but not limited to 14 CFR Part 91, Part 121, Part 145, etc.
Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
* Hold an FAA Airman Certificate (Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), Dispatcher, Airframe & Powerplant (A&P), Engineering Degree, or equivalent work experience.
* Prior experience interacting across functional areas while maintaining sensitivity as a team leader or contributor as applicable.
* Experience interfacing with regulatory oversight organizations such as FAA, DOD, OSHA, etc.
* Dynamic individual with strong leadership skills with the ability to be persuasive and influence others and adapt to multiple priorities simultaneously.
* Must be energized, results oriented, articulate, and have strong oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to interact with numerous internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to make connections across functional areas and understand dependencies and implications.
* Ability to foster a culture that is diverse and inclusive, aligned with the strategic goals of the organization, team building, team member development, engagement, and accountability.
* Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
