Job Summary

The Facilities Trainee will support the Facilities department in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment for all Valeo Sistemas Eléctricos operations. This role is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to gain hands-on experience in facilities management within a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Job Responsibilities

* Assist with routine inspections of plant facilities, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
* Support the coordination of internal and external maintenance activities, including scheduling and vendor communication.
* Learn and apply preventative maintenance procedures for various building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
* Help maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, equipment inventories, and service agreements.
* Participate in troubleshooting and resolving minor facilities issues, under supervision.
* Assist in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to facilities operations.
* Support energy management initiatives and sustainable facilities practices.
* Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related requests and requirements.
* Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the Facilities team.

Job Qualifications

* Currently pursuing or recently completed a technical degree, associate's degree, or vocational training in a relevant field such as Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Basic understanding of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) is a plus.
* Strong willingness to learn and develop practical skills in facilities management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proactive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
* Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (even internships) is beneficial but not required.
* Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
