Role Overview

As a Microgrid Application Engineer Intern, you will support the development, validation, and enhancement of microgrid control solutions. You will work hands-on with simulation platforms and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups to evaluate system behavior, validate use cases, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the microgrid offering.

Key Responsibilities

* Analyze the microgrid emulator platform and its integration with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments
* Study and understand microgrid system architectures, including control strategies and energy management solutions
* Design and develop a structured test plan to evaluate system capabilities, functionalities, and use cases
* Execute simulation scenarios to assess control algorithms and overall system performance
* Validate feasible and non-feasible functionalities of the microgrid solution across different operating conditions
* Identify technical limitations, constraints, and potential areas for improvement
* Document test methodologies, results, system behavior, and validated use cases in a clear and structured manner
* Contribute to the definition and enhancement of the microgrid offer based on testing outcomes and insights
* Collaborate closely with application, control, and engineering teams to ensure alignment between test results and product capabilities

* Develop a strong understanding of energy systems, simulations, and control validation
* Build structured engineering analysis and technical documentation skills
