Duties and Responsibilities
The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean is one of the five regional Commissions of the United Nations. It was founded in 1948 with the purpose of contributing to the region's economic and social development. Its mission includes the design, monitoring and evaluation of public policies and the provision of advisory services, expertise, and training to Governments, as well as support for regional and international cooperation and coordination activities. The internship at the Latin American and Caribbean Institute for Economic and Social Planning (ILPES) will last 3 to 6 months, depending on the needs of the Office. Candidates may be selected throughout the posting period, on an as-needed basis. The objective to which ILPES contributes is to strengthen planning and public management processes in the region in order to advance toward equitable and sustainable development. The internship aims to contribute to the strengthening of the Planning Network for Development in Latin America and the Caribbean by supporting strategic communication, engagement with its members and ambassadors, and the implementation of virtual and in-person events. The selected candidate is expected to: * Develop graphic, narrative and audiovisual content that enhances the Network's visibility and dynamism. * Contribute to the effective organization of events, supporting logistics, communication and follow-up systematization. * Ensure clear, coherent and high-quality presentation across all materials and activities related to the Network. * Support the updating and dissemination of key information, strengthening exchange and collaboration among participating countries and stakeholders.

Qualifications/special skills
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent). (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) The minimum required level of education is a high school diploma. Candidates are expected to be: * Undergraduate students in their final semester, or * Graduate students (currently enrolled or recently completed) in fields such as Social Sciences, Communication, International Relations, Educational Technologies, Public Administration, or related areas.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Fluency in Spanish

Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
