Mandatory internship in Powertrain Management Engines from July 2024

Plan and design the heart of our automobiles with us in the Mercedes-Benz Powertrain Development department in Untertürkheim: high-quality and future-oriented drive systems for our Mercedes-Benz Cars.
Our Powertrain Management department coordinates the development program for prototypes of Mercedes-Benz Cars drive systems. As part of the internship, you will be part of the motivated Powertrain Management Engines team and support current engine drive projects in the various phases of the product development process, from the start of the project to testing and series production. By working together with different specialist areas of the Group, such as vehicle and powertrain development, the start-up factory, development workshop, prototype quality and purchasing, etc., you will gain an overall view of the interaction in new product projects within the company.
You will be involved in the operational planning, procurement and management of prototypes and help to realize the new product portfolio of Mercedes-Benz Cars. As part of the team, we act as an interface between drive and vehicle projects and ensure that the ideas and innovations of our drive concepts become reality and thus meet the requirements of our drive targets.

Specifically, you will be involved in the following tasks
* Collaboration in projects of new innovative drive systems
* Participation and tracking within the prototype development process of drive projects - especially in procurement and supplier management
* Support in the preparation of supplier analyses, presentations and task force tasks
* Preparation of evaluations, analyses and decision papers for management meetings and reports
* Organization of and participation in team-internal coordination and meetings on the topics of procurement, planning and control
* Close integration in procurement and control topics with the possibility of active and independent participation

Qualifikationen

* Degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration or a comparable course of study
* Confident handling of MS Office
* Very good command of German and good command of written and spoken English
* Commitment and ability to work in a team
* Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
