Your Role

Integrated into a team of scientists and research engineers, you will work on research projects in medical robotics. This includes:
* Developing and testing concepts for medical robotics and robot-assisted surgery
* Evaluating concepts both in simulation and on real setups, getting hands-on experience with robotics in the medical field
* Conducting experiments in our robotics laboratory
* Presenting and discussing research findings in team and department meetings
* Working with researchers and engineers in a collaborative environment at the ZEISS Innovation Hub Karlsruhe, located at the KIT Campus North

Your Profile

* You are interested in technology and motivated to work on challenging tasks
* You are enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related field
* You have a strong engineering background and basic knowledge in robotics
* You have programming knowledge in at least one of the following: Python, ROS, C++
* Good communication skills in English and/or German
* A hands-on mentality, an open mind, and excellent problem-solving and innovation skills
* Passion for emerging technologies and motivation to work in agile, interdisciplinary teams
