Introduction

The TF OE Quality department ensures product quality across ASML's factories and drives continuous improvement. Within this team, you will support the shift toward smarter, data-driven ways of working. You will explore how Artificial Intelligence can improve recurring activities and workflows. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to apply AI in a high-tech manufacturing context. Your work will help shape practical solutions with direct business impact.

Your assignment

You will analyze current processes and translate improvement opportunities into practical AI applications. You will work closely with team members to understand their daily activities and identify where technology can add value. Your main responsibilities will be:
* Map and analyze recurring team activities and workflows
* Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation
* Research approved AI tools and assess their relevance
* Propose AI-driven use cases with clear business value
* Document insights in structured reports and presentations
* Share findings with stakeholders to support adoption
* Contribute to knowledge sharing on AI developments within the team

This is a bachelor (non-thesis) internship for a minimum of 3 months. It requires a minimum investment of 3 days per week (24 hours), including 2 days on-site in Veldhoven. The start date is September 1, 2026.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:
* Are pursuing a bachelor's degree in artificial intelligence, data science, industrial engineering, business analytics, or a related field
* Have a strong interest in applying AI within business and operational processes
* Have experience with process analysis and workflow mapping
* Are a proactive communicator who enjoys engaging with stakeholders
* Are able to communicate effectively in professional English

Other requirements you need to meet:
* You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
* Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
* You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
* If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
