Electrical Engineer (3-month internship)

Your impact

Reporting directly to the Discipline Director or Lead Electrical Engineering, this role researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of electrical systems design, construction detailing, construction procedures, building codes, National Electrical Code and building materials for clients according to their desires, needs, and financial resources. The position also requires a level of technical expertise to successfully execute projects from large complex projects to small renovation projects. Project scope may include military billeting, vehicle maintenance, aviation facilities, headquarters & administrative buildings, medical, research, and mission critical facilities.

* May lead the design activities of others with guidance by the Discipline Director
* Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates all other discipline elements into unified design for client review and approval
* Conducts periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with detailed design documents
* Prepares quantitative data (e.g. material take-offs) to support construction cost estimates
* Perform detailed REVIT drawings (power, grounding, lighting and lightning protection) and associated single lines & schematics/wiring diagrams with little to no supervision.
* May prepare client project presentations studies, and reports
* Prepare electrical load list and perform electrical calculations.
* Assist in performing power system model utilizing ETAP, EASYPOWER or SKM software.
* Prepare electrical equipment specifications and data sheets for low and medium voltage equipment. Assist in Inquiry, evaluation and preparing purchase requisition of electrical equipment up. Assist in preparation of electrical equipment cost estimate.
* Assist in reviewing vendor drawings for electrical details and interface data.

The successful candidate for this position will preferably be a current resident in South Korea. Relocation and housing allowances are not anticipated.

* 프로젝트 배치 계획 및 프로그램, 발주처 검토와 승인을 위한 타 공종 모든 요소를 통합된 설계에 조정 및 통합
* 시공 중 정기적 현장 점검 실시 및 상세 설계도서 준수 여부 모니터링
* 공사비 견적 지원을 위한 정량적 데이터 산출 (예, 자재 산출 내역)
* 전기 및 통신 설비 프로젝트 과업 범위 개발 및 변경 모니터링 및 예상 프로젝트 공사비 조정 정보 획득
* 프로젝트 프리젠테이션, 스터디 및 보고서 작성
* 컴퓨터 기반 설계 소프트웨어와 장비를 활용하여 프로젝트 설계 및 평면도 작성

Here's what you'll need

Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited Korean University is required.

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering (BSAE) from a US university is a plus
* Registration as a Professional Engineer in Korea or a US State or territory is a plus.
* Demonstrated design experience working as an Electrical Design Engineer in an Architectural or Engineering organization is a plus
* Demonstrated design experience working on projects for the US Federal and/or DOD markets is a plus
* Demonstrated design experience in communications systems (telephone, data, CCTV, CATV, and ACS) is a plus
* Demonstrated program experience in the usage of AUTODESK REVIT experience is required, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite is a plus
* Knowledge of local Korea and US Codes is a plus
* Strong organizational, communications (both verbal and written) skills, and leadership abilities are required
* Bilingual (Korean and English) is preferred
* A Korean nationality is required for this role
