Purpose of the Role
The Finance Intern will provide dedicated support to the Director of Finance for New Hotel Openings across SEAK & JAPAC. This role involves assisting with administrative tasks, strategic projects, and monitoring pre-opening progress to ensure successful hotel launches.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Director of Finance with administrative and project-related tasks.
* Coordinate and manage meeting schedules with General Managers and Directors of Finance for new openings; record minutes and follow up on actions.
* Develop and maintain dashboards to track pre-opening progress and critical information.
* Prepare pre-opening budgets and collaborate with hotel teams on monthly budget execution.
* Support Accounts Receivable collection processes.
* Contribute to initiatives aimed at streamlining finance pre-opening processes, enhancing tools, and ensuring compliance.
* Drive alignment with internal stakeholders to achieve team objectives
* Identify and support process improvement opportunities in systems, controls, and procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
Undergraduate degree in Accountancy, Business Management, or Hospitality Management (final-year students preferred).
Experience:
Prior internship experience in hotel management, accounting, or real estate consulting/advisory firms is advantageous.
Skills & Competencies:
* Strong desire to learn and adapt to new challenges.
* Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
* Creative problem-solving and idea generation skills.
* Excellent project management and communication abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
