Robotics & Automation Intelligence Intern
About the Role
You will join the Digital Automation Solutions Team (DAST) at Micron's F10 facility in Singapore for a diploma internship. The focus will be on robotics systems integration and operational visibility. In this project-based role, you will design and build a unified live dashboard that consolidates real-time data from the facility's fleet of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), collaborative robots (cobots), and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) into a single monitoring interface. Shift technicians will use this dashboard to monitor fleet status, respond to errors, and maintain operational continuity without needing to access multiple separate systems.
What You Will Be Doing
* Audit and document the current data outputs from the AMR fleet, pinpointing available APIs, data fields, and communication protocols already utilized by the team.
* Identify and establish data connectivity for additional robot systems, collaborating with the engineering team to pinpoint feasible integration methods such as REST APIs, polling scripts, or vendor SDKs.
* Design and engineer a unified operational dashboard that displays real-time fleet status, mission progress, error states, and key performance indicators for all robot systems in a single responsive interface accessible to shift technicians.
* You will improve the mission structures or error-handling logic for one or more robot systems, identify failure modes, and implement more robust error-catching or recovery workflows where feasible.
* Define and implement dashboard metrics for shift operations, quantifying robot availability, mission completion rate, idle time, and active fault alerts, and present clear visual indicators for rapid triage.
* Collaborate closely with the engineering team to validate dashboard data accuracy and calibrate alert thresholds to reflect real operational needs.
* Produce clear handover documentation detailing system architecture, data flow diagrams, integration steps, and maintenance instructions to ensure the solution can be sustained and expanded after your internship concludes.
What We Are Looking For
* Diploma student in Engineering, Information Technology, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
* Basic understanding of APIs or data communication protocols (REST, serial, or equivalent) -- you do not need to be an expert, but you should be comfortable learning.
* Be familiar with at least one scripting or programming language (Python preferred).InShow interest in robotics, automation, or industrial systems; prior exposure to AMRs, cobots, or AGVs is a bonus but not required.SeBe is self-driven, structured in thinking, and comfortable working through ambiguity with minimal guidance. Able to communicate technical work clearly to non-technical stakeholders
What You Will Gain
* Gain hands-on experience integrating multiple real industrial robot systems in a live semiconductor manufacturing environment. Develop practical skills in dashboard development, systems integration, and API-based data connectivity. Direct exposure to AMR and cobot operations on an active factory floor
* Mentorship from an experienced automation and digital transformation team
* A tangible, portfolio-ready deliverable with real operational impact
