We are a Consulting firm providing financial reportings and IT solutions tailored to meet the regulatory environments and financial markets' activity. We are working in Geneva and on both sides of the Channel. We are recruiting a Junior business analyst to join our Functional IT team in Geneva. This is a great opportunity for a fluent in English consultant in its third year as an IT Consultant for banks or Financial services to give an international dimension to its career and join a firm of Business Consultants and Financial specialists.
We are a consulting firm specializing in financial reporting and IT solutions tailored to regulatory requirements and the dynamics of financial markets. We operate in Portugal as well as on both sides of the Channel. We are currently recruiting a Business Analyst (1-2 years' experience) to join our Functional IT team in Lisbon. This role represents an excellent opportunity for a fluent English-speaking consultant in their first or second year as an IT consultant within the banking or financial services sector to add an international dimension to their career and join a firm of experienced business consultants and financial specialists. This position is offered under a Volontaire International en Entreprise (VIE) contract for a duration of 18 months and may lead to a permanent full-time contract based in Lisbon or in one of our other European offices. Our firm is managed by three partners and employs 40 consultants. Our core expertise lies in the organization of banking and energy industry operations, covering Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, and Finance functions. Our principal clients are large, internationally listed banks and energy groups based in Europe. The successful candidate will actively contribute to the development and day-to-day operations of the Banking practice in close collaboration with the partners. There is a clear path for career progression, with the potential to advance to Director level

Candidate Requirements:

As a Business analyst in the Functional IT practice, you will be responsible for:· Understanding the activity of the client, knowing all Front office, Middle Officeand Back office softwares as a user (Trader, Middle officer or financial officer) ·Following clients relationships; · Proposing IT specifications on new activities,new deals or new regulations, delibering these specifications to IT developingteam · Controlling New versions and testing results on-the-job; · Dealing withreporting duties both for the clients and the firm. · Participating to functionaltransversal meeting and finding new It solutions with managers It is likely thatthe role will also include responsibility for the provision of professional trainingprogrammes and related administrative tasks. What do You have? · Ideally anengineering degree in a European School or University · Financial Mathematicsexpertise, Kwowledge of financial markets. · An experience of IT Project on thefunctional side · Expertise in IT methods such as Scrum method or UML ·Some knowledge of French would be an advantage · Excellent interpersonaland communication skills, both oral and written in English · Excellentorganisation and planning skills · A keen ability to resolve issues and meet tightdeadlines
