Graduate Intern (District Safety and Security - Safety, Health and Environment) - 12 months contract period

Job Description:

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.

You will report to Manager, Safety, Health and Environment, and be responsible for:
* supporting the Work Permit System administration by working closely with applicants, reviewers, approvers, service enhancement contractors, and IT Department;
* compiling safety statistics/performance reports;
* assisting in organizing health and safety promotion events;
* assisting in safety and health inspections and hazard identification at WKCDA venues and offices;
* assisting in the procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for various Divisions/Departments;
* helping to coordinate the safety and health training sessions such as staff orientation training, first aid training and other specific safety training for relevant Divisions/Departments;
* assisting in the arrangement of Indoor Air Quality Measurement for WKCDA Offices; and
* performing any other related general duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority.

You should:
* possess a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering / science, chemical / mechanical / civil Engineering, or any related discipline with SHE focus, from a recognised university;
* have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and knowledge of computing and IT;
* have a strong interest in working in safety and security fields;
* be eager to learn and follow safety protocols strictly;
* be able to communicate and collaborate with personnel of different working levels;
* possess experience in compiling different types of management reports; and
* have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin).
