Job Summary**

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety and Hygiene Intern to support our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department. This role will assist in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment for all employees at Valeo Sistemas Electricos SA de CV.

Job Responsibilities**

* Assist in the implementation and monitoring of EHS policies and procedures.
* Support the coordination of safety inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
* Help maintain EHS documentation, including accident reports, safety training records, and compliance logs.
* Participate in the investigation of incidents and near-misses, helping to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
* Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees.
* Support the EHS team in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
* Contribute to the promotion of a strong safety culture within the organization.
* Perform other EHS-related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications**

* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field.
* Strong interest in safety, hygiene, and environmental protection.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
* Basic understanding of EHS regulations and principles is a plus.
* Bilingual (Spanish and English) is highly desirable.
