Your role and responsibilities

As a Customer Experience Consulting Intern at IBM, you'll be working closely with clients and their customers to understand their pain points, bringing together IBM's unique capabilities across strategy, innovation, design, data analytics, cognitive computing, and technology platforms to develop and deliver high-impact transformation programs. Leveraging a growth mindset, you're ready and willing to deliver business value, wherever needed. In your role, you may be responsible for:

Researching the client organization and industry value chains

Drawing from primary and existing IBM research on evolving market trends
Identifying issues, creating hypotheses, and executing analysis, to developing decision-ready recommendations for our clients

This position resides in Toronto commencing in September 2026. It is mandatory that all applicants are graduated from studies at a post-secondary institution at the time of their start date.
Please note that MBA and PHD candidates are not eligible for this program.

Required education
High School Diploma/GED

Preferred education
Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

* Exceptional quantitative analysis skills and ability to derive recommendations informed by data and insights
* Powerful communication and storytelling skills, with an ability to communicate complex situations clearly and simply
* Ability to apply logic to solve ambiguous problems and deliver creative and well-structured solutions
* A passion for innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to understand and assimilate different points of view
* Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and work effectively in an intense team environment, able to build direct working relationships across all levels of the IBM and client teams

Preferred technical and professional experience

* Passion to understand the applications of emerging technologies and adapt modern approaches and innovative solutions to client problems
* Strong problem-solving capabilities, including the desire to take ambiguous problems and deliver creative and well-structured solutions; as well as applying deep analytical skills to ensure recommendations are informed by data and insights
* Highly resilient with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, meet deadlines, and share/incorporate feedback
