Finance Intern

Job Description:

This is an opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in accounting and financial planning & analysis functions within the luxury retail industry. The Finance Intern will acquire valuable practical experience and learn about the various strategies used in the retail sector, allowing them to learn from diverse perspectives and develop new skills.

Responsibilities
* Collaborate closely with finance team in handling day-to-day financial operations
* Support in month end closing and financial reporting preparation
* Assist in financial analysis to support business development initiatives and management decision-making
* Liaise with cross-functional teams
* Create PowerPoint presentations to support financial reporting and analysis
* Develop, maintain, and improve financial templates to enhance reporting efficiency
* Assist in ad hoc internal control analysis, financial projects and assignments as required

Requirements
* Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance, or a related discipline
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 with knowledge of EXCEL functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis)
* Knowledge of Power BI, SAP or similar platforms an asset
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills and a good team player
* In-office Monday to Friday 40 hours per week

The rate for this position is $25 per hour. This position is for an existing vacancy
