Early Careers: Intern, Products and Hedging Solutions - Summer 2026 Are you looking to gain valuable experience in a professional environment? Are you a student with strong interpersonal skills and critical thinking? We are looking for a Summer Intern to join our Products and Hedging Solutions, Reinsurance team in Toronto! This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Toronto offices. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit. The hourly salary range for this position is $28.41- $33.08 The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. What the day will look like Develop and test robust python processes for hedging, scenario generation and financial reporting. Play a key role in developing and testing innovative hedging and asset management strategies in PathWise to effectively manage complex exposures that combine Actuarial, Financial, and Capital Market risks. Test, maintain, and document sophisticated financial asset and liability models in PathWise to support various product development and risk management projects. Participate in quantitative research projects utilizing quantitative skills, such as time series regressions, optimization, Monte Carlo simulation, and data visualization techniques. Develop and maintain Economic Scenario Generators used in the valuation of financial assets and insurance liabilities. Skills and experience that will lead to success Advanced programming skills in Python, in particular NumPy, Pandas and SciPy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of financial assets including derivatives and their valuation models a plus Knowledge of statistics, finance and economics a plus Knowledge of numerical technique skills in time series analysis and Monte-Carlo simulation Strong communication skills for heavy team interactions Education: Enrolled in and have completed 3 years of a Bachelor's degree in Math/Statistics/Actuarial Science How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage an inclusive workforce.
