Why this role matters:

As the Data Analyst Intern within the Data Line of business, you will play a key role in supporting modeling needs for assessing various data models. These tasks will include building, implementing and analyzing the supply and demand model framework. The analyses conducted here will greatly enhance the operations of the Data Product organization.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

* Operational analytics: gather data from business and operational systems to monitor company key performance indicators . Learn about ICEYE's business and operational systems, gather, merge,cleanse data.
* Model-building: build quantitative models, learn model-building best practices, and maintain these models as assumptions evolve
* Synthesis and presentation: translate analytics into actionable outcomes for the Data Line of business.

What we're looking for

Must haves:
* Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
* A genuine curiosity about satellite data, Earth Observation, or geospatial technologies - no prior industry experience required.
* Comfortable working with data: you enjoy cleaning, exploring, and making sense of numbers.
* Familiarity with Excel; experience with Python or another scripting language is a plus.
* Strong attention to detail and a structured, hypothesis-driven approach to problem-solving.
* Good communicator - you can explain what you found and why it matters, in plain language.
* Eager to learn, ask questions, and take ownership of your work in a fast-paced environment.
* Openness to using AI tools (for writing, analysis, and presentation) to work more effectively.

In addition to the above, it would be beneficial if you had the below attributes and skills:

* Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib/seaborn).
* Familiarity with SQL for querying datasets.
* Exposure to geospatial libraries (e.g. QGIS, Skyfield).
* Experience with BI/analytics platforms (e.g. Holistics).
* Experience working with APIs.
* Any academic or personal projects involving real-world datasets - we love seeing curiosity in action.
* Familiarity with software management tools such as Git, Confluence, or Jira.
